May 3, 2026 | 9:30 AM - 11 AM | Darlin’ Bakery & Cafe, Stewartville
For the past year, we’ve built something different in our southeastern Minnesota communities. Growing groups of neighbors building relationships, organizing on community issues, and stepping up to lead. Join us for a conversation with organizers and participants from our two pilot groups in Stewartville and Kasson to hear:
Why we started organizing through casual, facilitated community conversations
How we grew local groups from half a dozen to 70+ neighbors in Stewartville and Kasson
What you can do to organize your rural neighbors
This will be a town hall formatted event with a panel that includes Heather Holmes and Kindra Ramaker (co-founders and facilitators), and attendees from both groups. The panel will be moderated by co-founder, Maren Schroeder.
Darlin’ Bakery is a local, woman-owned bakery serving a wide selection of fresh pastries, hot breakfast, and (of course) coffee. Please arrive ahead of the 9:30 start time if you plan to have breakfast. Standard coffee and water will be provided.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
